okay, totally accidentally stumbled on this little tip. you can spawn a new iTunes window by double-clicking on any item in the sidebar. i would always get ticked because i'd lose track of where i was in a playlist when i went to look up something in the music store. now i can have the music store in its own window, and then click on a music store arrow link and have the artist load in that window. plus extra windows for videos or podcasts or even smart playlists.

pardon me if this is totally old news, but i just accidentally double-clicked and went "wha?!?" maybe it'll help someone else here too.

I heard Command-C is good for copying things, haven't tried it yet though.

okay, fair enough, but usually if an app allows for multiple windows, i expect there to be some indication like in a "view" menu like "view -> new window" or "file -> new... window" or something. itunes doesn't have any of that, and since we had always talked about itunes being a single window interface, i kinda assumed it was only one window at any time.

It's been multi-windowed since before I switched, and my Powerbook is going on 3 1/2 years old.
