Apple/Bono Annoucement Removed from Net?

I have been to two sites (AppleInsider and iLounge) that had stories on the Apple annoucement with Bono for March 1st. And now they have both removed the announcement.



What is going on?



I wasn't seeing things was I?



Edit: Just read on iLounge that apparently the invitiations that were sent out were a fake. This was confirmed by Apple.

    Yup definitely saw that posting and was estatic!! Now what's going on? Did Apple legal strike again?

    Way to go Katie for posting a story without checking its veracity and then pulling it and pretending it never existed. You have a journalistic responsibility to issue a correction or retraction, not just yank the article and hope nobody noticed.

    I just love watching Kasper and his cronies pretend to be journalists. I'm also glad he secured Shawn Wu as analyst extraordinaire!
