Is it worth me upgrading to a MBP?

I've currently got a 1.67GHz 17" PB, and I'm wondering if it would be worth my while upgrading to a MBP.

Any indications how a MBP running CS2 under Rosetta would compare (speedwise) to my 17" PB?

Does Rosetta cripple the system, or will there be a major speed boost overall?

Unless you REALLY want a MBP, I wouldn't get it.

Your PowerBook is fine enough. Actually, it's an amazing machine and there's no point in getting rid of it so soon.

If I were you, I'd wait for Rev. B (at the least) to get it.

That is my plan, to wait for the second release of it. I have a 1.67Ghz 15" Power (the latest model with the highest resolution). I really want a MBP, but I want to wait until they get the problems worked out and all the programs I use release the UB's.

Having just bought an iMac (Intel)--I agree--Office is buggy ---CS2 runs fine but is no jackrabbit.

I would wait at least until CS2 is updated.

Does anyone has an intel mac and studio 8? Has it been released as a UB bet? If not, how does it run?
