Diskwarrior & Techtool Pro...Usage and Advice Please

Could someone please advise me of the proper usage and order of Diskwarrior and Techtool Pro? Is one better than the other? Do they do different things? Also, I have been reading horror stories about Techtool Pro and am considering ditching it all together.



PowerBookG4, Running Tiger 10.4.5

Diskwarrior 3.0.3 (just updated from 3.0.2 from Alsoft's site)

Techtool Pro 4.1.1 (just updated from 4.0.3 from Micromat's site)



My main questions are:



For routine maintenance...



Do I need to run both utilities?

If I do need to run both utilities, which order should I use them in?

If I do need to run both utilities, what operations should I use and in what order?

Are there some operations that are a waste of time and should be skipped?

Are those horror stories true about Techtool Pro and should I just ditch it?

    What routine maintenance?



    - Dump TechTool Pro.



    - Keep Disk Warrior for when your hard drive crashes.

    I can second that, TechTool is a load of hooey. DiskWarrior is the way to go.
