So I don't think MacBook Pro's can connect to LEAP networks

As far as I've tested on campus, LEAP does not function correctly. Can this be fixed with a software patch to come? or do I need to tell my friend to bring it back to the store

    This is a known bug unique to the MacBook Pros, which use a different wireless chipset than the iMac Core Duos.



    There's a lengthy thread on the Apple discussion boards about this. Apple engineering says they are aware of the issue, but have not given any timeframe for a fix.
