iPhoto not launching

I have a small problem with iPhoto under 10.2.8 - it doesn't launch. Now, if I create a separate user account, it will launch fine - my deduction from this is that the problem lies with my prefs files. The problem is that my data was restored after a full format of my HD. Could this have been the problem?

Thanks,

Kiyo Saka

Yes, I did, but to no avail. I even tried deleting them, restarting the machine (which you shouldn't need to do) and launching iPhoto. I could only find one pref file "com.apple.iphoto.plist" if my memory serves me right...

If you hold down the OPTION-key while you are launching

iPhoto (vers. no?) does there appear a dialog, which prompts

you to either choose or create a new iPhoto library?

BTW, what size of you're iPhoto library are we talking about?

Holding the option key while opening iPhoto doesn't do anything. I only have version 1.1.1 which is a bit weird as I thought I had updated it as much as possible. I will update it more thoroughly.

I have just over 1.3Gb of data in my iPhoto library.

    Does that help at all?

    I don't know iPhoto 1.1.1., since i started with

    2. Right now i have no clue how to track down

your particular issue with iPhoto. I don't know

10.2.8 (Jaguar) either, so others, who are

familiar with this SW versions may help

    you out.

You said, that once you had have to reformat your

HD. How did you back up your iPhoto library

    back then?
