Hey, I was wondering what anyone knows on MSN for Mac. Whens the next update coming with universal binary? Its seriously behind compared to the windows version.

Does anyone know of any other programs out there that will let me connect with other msn messengers, but using a different/better program than the one MSN has?

Thanks

    Adium

    Proteus

There are also others like aMSN that just do MSN with more functionality.

Adium and Proteus are not there yet. They work fine for basic IM and maybe even file transfers, but no audio and no video (Adium is waiting for the GAIM crowd, while Proteus is... waiting for something).

If you *need* audio and video, aMSN is fine, as well as Mercury Messenger which supports audio/video/insertxmessengerfeaturehere. It is the cross-platform equivalent of MSN Messenger 7.5. It is, however, a pig for resources (Java and all...) and get ready for some serious RAM usage when you run it.
