i m using the 4.1 beta6(v399)

when i open the application for some time, there is a number attached to the icon, what is that?

it seems the larger the number say over 100, the browser speed decrease and sometime the spinning CD appear and i ve to force quit Omni.



any suggestion?

    It sounds like you've accidentally tagged a whole bunch of your bookmarks to automatically check for updates.



    The "lightning bold and number badge" over the icon indicate the number of your bookmarks that have been updated. Open the bookmarks window and Show Info as you go browse through. To disable automatic checking for a bookmark, simply set the menu next to "Check every ___" to Default. Then, open OmniWeb's preferences, click the bookmark icon, and set the default checking behavior to never.



    This could also explain why OmniWeb is getting slow and locking up; it's trying to access a bunch of sites and update the bookmark list.

    sometimes i get this message:

    Cannot Load Address

    unabel to create a socket: too many open files

    and i ve to quit and start again!



    what's wrong?
