iTunes Install Problem

So I have a G4 Mini and have been having iTunes issues. I have several movies in my iTunes library and when I go to try and Get Info on these movies, iTunes shuts down and asks if I want to ReOpen. Now, I figured it might be time to do a fresh install of iTunes. However, after I download the iTunes install, it won't let me actually install iTunes. It has iTunes in grey and says "Skip Action" next to it. What happened? Any suggestions to rectify this?

what version of iTunes do you have (latest?)

yes, the latest version (6.0.4), and I still have 17GB of hard drive space left.
