Screen Burn on iMac G5 20"?

It looks like there is "screen burn" from the dock on my 20" iMac purchased last September.

Is this unusual or considered acceptable in terms of monitor appearance? Hopefully, the attached picture is clear. It looks more pronounced on my end than it does from the picture.

I appreciate your feedback.

TFTs don't have screen burn. They have dead pixels and weak backlights.

What you're seeing here is either a non-uniform backlight, or, quite simply, dirt. Get some iKlear cleaning cloths and try and remove it.

Chucker what makes you say that ?

I have exactly the same problem with a 20" dell flat screen. The mark is EXACTLY where the doc is on the screen. It has been cleaned so it isn't dirt.

Is there a waty the backlight can give this effect ?
