I got two questions here about Oblivion (if you havn't heard of it, google "elder scrolls 4: oblivion).
1) Any chance of a port to Mac? (one can be hopeful?)
2) Will my 20" imac with 1 gig of ram and 256 mem. be able to play it fine (dual-boot with windows).
Thanks!

I actually asked this a question to the effect of "will this game be ported?" on the official forums awhile back. A Bethesda rep. said while the company itself wouldn't do it, it would be more than open to another company taking on the challenge (which isn't to be underestimated; I hear it's difficult to port Havoc).
He remarked that the best way to achieve this was to lobby well-known Mac game publishers/porters (such as Apsyr, Feral, etc.)
As said before, there are no display drivers--yet. Still, I think the iMac's graphics card the bottleneck and would possibly restrict you to a low or a dumbed-down medium setting.
On a separate note, I'm playing Oblivion on my Windows comp and loving it, though I'd make a few changes myself.
Thanks again!

Thanks! I know about how there are not video drivers yet, but there will be eventually. Also i was wondering about Mac vs Xbox 360. The 360 would play it well enough, but it wouldn't have ne mods, expansions, ect.
Thanks again!
I have the Xbox 360 version and Oblivion is an awesome game! If you have an HDTV wouldn't you rather use that as your display? I'll take kicking back on the couch using a wireless controller and playing in 720p over being stuck at the computer desk looking at a smaller monitor (even if it is > 1280x720) any day.
Bethesda could also use Live to push out patches/enhancements/mods as well, if they wanted to. All 360 owners have free Live Silver accounts which allows you to download content. You only have to pay for Gold if you want to play online.
I do have XBL gold, but like the first day the Oblivion came out people had mods...i doubt that XBL could list every mod made for the game. Also the harddrive would fill up pretty fast...
I still don't mind as the 360 will be able to play new games for years. Computers will have to be upgraded next year in order to play next year's games.
