Converting Real Video to mpeg or any other Qt supported format

Hi all



Can anyone tell me weather its possible to convert a.ram file that was encoded for real player (crap) to be converted to something i can use with QT ?

Any softare out there that can do this ?

    I've never used it myself, but I've read that ffmpeg will do the job. It's a command-line app, though.

    Thanks but this won't compile on OS X ..... anyone know of any other tool ?

    I think RealMedia goes after any programmer that makes something to do this - REal feels that everything made with RealVideo is their property.



    And the player is crap. I'm not talking about the Mac version, which is crap because it's a 4-year old Mac OS 9 app. I'm talking about the modern Windows version, which is slower, has more ads, more bugs, and longer "wizard" screens than anything.



    I'll admit that the RealPlayer which I use in Classic once in a while to watch DragonBall Z episodes play better than the most recent Windows media Player for Mac. That is craptacular. Crapulicious.;

    Yes I agree.. which is why I want to convert my stuff.. so that I won't have to use Real's s***...
