Quicktime on MacBook H.264

I have alot of encoded h.264's from nero recode. The audio will not work on the Mackbook pro, but did on my powerbook. Now there are black borders on the sides, which may be due to increased screen res.

The audio works in VLC and there are no black borders on the sides. Also, it seems like my videos lag more than the hd trailers which run perfect from apple.

Front row always says the trailer server not responding. Also, my computer froze up with rainbow colors all over the screen one time when playing a movie. This makes no sense, because the movies ran smoothly on powerbooks.

they were encoded at 720x480 from dvd's, most of them widescreen. Would really appreciate help, video is one of the main reasons i got a MPB

ps, I get that clicking noise when I play the videos it seems especially. Not really a whining noise.

In VLC open the Info window while playing a video. Also try opening the movie properties in QT player. What audio format is it?

WMP files bad on intel mac as flip4mac isn't universal yet and I can't get it to run in rosetta.
