I recently redid my firewall, and now I am unable to connect to MSN and AIM. Does anyone know what port these two services use so that I can talk to my friends online. Thx.

thet port for AIM is different, depending on if it searched for a different port for optimal connecting. go to the preferences, under network connections...

Badtz, I know you haven't recieved your mac yet, but Fire is an alternative AIM/MSN Messenger/Jabber/ICQ/Yahoo!/irc client, not the official client. Sorry if I connfused you...

What are you using to configure your firewall? If it's BrickHouse, then simply open up the log and look for some "denied" entries that correspond to the times you attempt to connect to AIM and MSN.

That said, I think AIM uses TCP port 5190.
