I'd jump at the chance of getting a 20" widescreen powerbook. I

currently have the 17" & while I love it, I could use more screen

realestate while running photoshop. A fullsize keyboard & tv tuner

    would be nice as well.

Another reason for getting it is for image. When I go to a client's

house & pull out my laptop I always get compliments on it. Maybe it's

perceived but I think my client's seem to think that they're getting

their money's worth when they see what I'm using to create their job.

Especially if I use something like expose or dashboard while they're

watching me work. It's like when people say Oooh or Aaah while

    watching a fireworks display.

It will include legs which fold out from the bottom of the powerbook thus providing much needed table space in small apartments.

The floppy drive was superceded by email and the CD-R.

The modem is still useful, since broadband is not ubiquitous.

Also, the phone system often remains up and running in a power failure/disaster, unlike broadband.

6.9 pounds really isn't that heavy for a 17" laptop especially when I've

seen some 15" PC laptops that were over 10 pounds. Even if Apple

added another pound for a 20" laptop it would still be 1-3 lbs. lighter

    than an equivalent pc laptop.

I hope Apple will make one.

That would be a dream come true for a designers and video editors on the road.

I am not expecting to use it on an airplane but to have taking with you on the road that would be awesome.

If you look at the 20" Imac screen that seems very feasible to have the same screen on a laptop. Plus the additional room would be great for more memory and maybe dual hard drives and larger battery. who knows what they can put on this thing.
