Make a folder "hidden"

I've searched like crazy on Google and can't find out anything on how-to make a folder's attributes hidden. this would be nice to hide some folders like the Library folder Fetch Art makes in the applications folder.

I use File Buddy:
http://www.skytag.com/filebuddy/
Just do get info from the file menu and choose a file or folder and set attributes.
You could also use Path Finder.

Just type a period at the beginning of its name.

cool, File Buddy was a quick & easy solution to what you could do in OS 9.
