Apple Origami UMPC
It has been speculated here as well as elsewhere but it appears that Apple might be taking advantage of the availability of low-cost UMPC motherboards and a tablet may be on the way after all.

The question then becomes, is there really a new iPod video with a touch screen on the way after all? Or is this new tablet what Apple will be releasing with the touch screen.
Since the screen is large it would be great for downloaded video and would obviously run iTunes as well. Apple may one-up all the other UMPC's both with the interface and maybe even a tablet version of boot-camp!
My credit card is ready Steve, Bring it on!

What I've seen of these Origami-devices already introduced is not very compelling:
- It looks like those cheap semi-educational Vtech computers,
with many, many, many buttons and a huge cheap glossy plastic body.
- An "etch-a-sketch" (as mentioned before)
- it has an antenna, like a 80's portable radio
- It has some additional graphicall bells & whistles to lure in wannabee geeks.
- The fact that battery drains itself in 3 hours makes it even worse.
- For the same price (Samsung Q1) you'll get yourself a nice MacBook
- It's a mugger magnet.
It's a doa imo.
