MBP/PM G5 Pricing

I was browsing the apple store today and got bored and started going to the international online stores, and I found out that in Germany or Italy or other distant countries from North America, the MBP was priced higher than the G5 PM! What is strange is the the MBP is $100 cheaper the the PM in Canada and exactly the same price ($1999) in the US. Is there a reason for this, could it meen an upgrade coming REALLY soon?
