Can you use (enroll) AppleCare bought in the US with a MacBookPro bought in the EU?

I did ask Apple but they can't give me a definite yes or no.

Do they offer Apple Care in the EU? If so, I would assume you could.

I'm going to the US next week, and AppleCare for the MacBook Pro is almost 90 euro's (without tax) cheaper than in the EU.

I believe so... About a month or two ago, Apple announced that applecare would be valid worldwide. That is, you can own applecare in the US, and still get warranty service on your powerbook in Taiwan if it malfunctions.

Not sure about buying it though....
