When will Amazon, etc. have MBP 17" in stock?

If the Macbook turns out to have poor specs (no video card, etc), I plan to buy a 17" MBP...but it isn't in stock with either of the resellers I'd want to use (Amazon or PC Connection, both of which offer free shipping, no tax and $150 rebates). PC Connection's site says they won't have it in stock for "2+ weeks"! Based on history, how long is it usually between when Apple starts shipping a product like the 17" MBP and when those guys start having it in stock?

    Amazon, in my experience, is very unreliable for supply of items that aren't in stock. They have a lousy customer service department...which only seems to give the most vague & nebulous answers to questions like: "So, when IS such & such item going to be in stock?"



    Don't hold your breath waiting on Amazon.
