airport configuration

hey all quick question about airport configuration. i have cable internet and just bought an airport. the wireless just works fine for my powerbook, but i cant get my desktop g4 to connect through ethernet anymore. i connect the g4 tower to the airport through ethernet and cant get any internet. do i need to use a crossover cable? how can i get this to work? thanks

    You don't need a crossover cable.



    Check to make sure you are using a DHCP address or your static IP info is correct. Try to ping your Airport hub and see if you get a response. (Applications->Utilities->Network Utility) If you do get pings back, your computer is set up correctly and some settings on your Airport are pooched.
