super drive?

i have an 17" iMac G4 and the cd drive olny opens and closes it dosnt recognize when a cd is in it and it sucks what should i do??

    System preferences >> Cd's & Dvd's >> Check if you have "ignore" selected in a section you shouldn't have!



    What type of CD is it? Music CD?

    nothing at all happens when u put in anything from a dvd to a cd to a blank cd its an outrage

    Then it's probably broken. Go to an Apple store or whatever local retailer you might use and get it repaired, that simple.
