Is it me, or have they been on a real tear here lately, buying quite a few companies or technologies.

Hmm...

Well they're going to need something to run all that on!

1000 bucks for a text creation tool is kinda steep to an average user like me

Apple should be very careful, and not gobble up too many companies. The DOJ might soon be knocking on their door.

Gaining a monopoly (in this case with film editing software) is not illegal. Abusing it would be.

    That's a cool app.

Either Final Cut Pro 4 is gonna rock, or they're coming out with a lot of new software...

They are going to add features to iMovie and Final Cut Pro.

    Simple enough.

Hehe. Alls I can say at this point is that I am excited to see where Apple "stands" so to speak at MWNY.

Who here would have kittens if they took this technology and stuffed it into quicktime? <img src="graemlins/surprised.gif" border="0" alt="[Surprised]" />

I've seen 2 variations of this story. One states that Apple Bought Prismo Graphics and the other states that they bought Technologies from Prismo Graphics. Which is accurate?

All those aquirsitions Apple made in the last two month will be no way to have detail talk (it takes time to implement them) in MWNY. MWSF will make more sense.

I've been checking out the India Titler system available for some time now and I've always liked it. I had PG send me a demo and this program is really cool with it's DVFonts and Title Effects. This is a GREAT pickup IMO as you will not need Photoshop to create nice titles now. The program was orgininally $399 or $699 depending on how many DVFonts you wanted. Apple will probably roll this functionality right into FCP or another aux application.

Like it or not Apple is dedicating themselves to be a player in the Desktop Video Arena. I'm ecstatic.

Before Apple bought PG, the India Titler app was exactly that: an application. It runs separate from any NLE, or image editing, program you are using. Of course, that was before Apple got a hold of it. It may very well run a la DVD SP and A-pack, in that it runs simultaneously with each other.
