This is a slightly embarassing question but....
I have a G3 600MHz ibook and have a vga adaptor. I plug it into the ibook and the vga monitor but nothing comes up on the vga monitor?
DO i need to press a specific key?
Thanks
Omar

what size/type of monitor is it. It won't show anything if your ibooks display is configured to a setting which the external monitor cannot display.

If I remember correctly, you need to close the lid and reopen it so the machine will refigure its screens. I remember having difficulty myself.
The newer machines: just plug in and you're off.
Just a thought: have you chosen the correct source/input on your target monitor?
