unlocking a transfered folder

Help please guys.

I transfered a folder from my old 15" PB to my new 17" MBP. It was locked on the old computer. When I transfered it via firewire it asked for my password & transfered across.

On my MBP the folder appears with the little padlock visible on the lower left of the folder icon. When I get info on the folder the lock tick box is greyed out & I can't alter it. Under Ownership & Permissions in details the owner is either system or my name - either way, the access is still set to No Access. I can view the contents of the folder but am unable to delete it - which I now want to.

When I try to change the owner to me I put in my password but then get an error code 120.

Any help please!

TIA

Nick
