Compiling help : Darwinports, FAAD2
Hi guys,
I'd like to install FAAD2, an AAC decoder library, and in order to do so I've installed and updated the ports for Darwinports which claims that all I have to do to install FAAD2 is "in a terminal window and while online, type the following and hit return:"
% sudo port install faad2
Password:
However, when I do this and plug in my password, I get this:
---> Configuring faad2
Error: Target com.apple.configure returned: shell command "cd /opt/local/var/db/dports/build/_opt_local_var_db_dports_sources_rsync.rsync.darwi nports.org_dpupdate
_dports_audio_faad2/
work/faad2 && aclocal -I . && autoheader && glibtoolize --automake --copy" returned error 127
Command output: sh: line 1: autoheader: command not found
Error: /opt/local/bin/port: Status 1 encountered during processing.
If anyone has experience with Darwinports, please lend a hand.
This seemed like the easiest way to install FAAD2, but since it didn't work, I'm also asking if anyone has a 2nd-easiest way. I'm not a Terminal man, and I don't have Xcode or anything similar.
Thanks,
