HiFi Home Theater (3 Tiers)
Here is what I would like to see.
iPod HiFi (Wireless)
1) Integrated/Internal Airport Express (no print server)
2) Top facing LCD readout for pulling Itunes play lists. (this just reads it off the computer but doesn't pull it to the iPod HiFi version 2.) This means you don't need the iPod anymore if you are in WiFi range.
3) True HiFi - Increase the range to true HiFi specs.
4) iPod Docking Station
5) Apple Remote
HiFi =$349
iPod HiFi Stereo
1) Two smaller HiFi speaker systems (v1) that connect to the new iPod AV Dock.
2) Dock comes with AV Remote similar to the new bose remote with itunes display.
3) Speaker system can plug directly into MacMini (Core Duo) through USB.
4) Apple Remote
HiFi Stereo = $599
Macintosh HiFi
1) 5 HiFi Speaker system that connects into MacMini ( Core Duo)
2) 1 SUB woofer (iSub or TAM Subwoofer-like)
3) Apple Remote
Mac HiFi = $999
Additional Items supporting this initiative.
1) Greatly expand the Radio section of itunes. Add Graphical look like the ITMS. Section for Local radio station feeds.
2) Apple buys Akimbo and adds like-services to the iTMS.
3) Apple strikes deal with Google Video and YouTube for free video content services. (Surfing through these sites creates hours of entertainment each month.
4) Eventually, create full wireless surround sound.
5) Last but not least, build iPod dock on MacMini.
