ipod software issue

in iPod + iTunes + AppleTV edited January 2014
I cant get my 60 gig ipod to update, I had a bunch of crappy podcasts on there and in stead of deleting them I was just going to whipe the thing and re-sync it to my current library, but I cant get the thing to format or update...



I have:

Rebooted the Mac and the iPod

re-installed ipod update and itunes and

formatted it for windows then brought it back to the mac...



none of these has worked, I keep getting an error 80003 message, any advice?
