Using Apple Plaintalk Mic with I Mic

Apple's Plaintalk Mics use a thicker diameter jack than the industry standard computer Mic. The I mIc takes the 1/8" standard.

I tried emailing Griffin from their online support page, and the message failed to get sent. On their website they don't give the specs of the i Mic, saying the item's cost negates the need for this ("If you need specs get a more expensive connector").

My choice:

1) get an adapter from Radioshack so I can use the I Mic/Plainntalk combo (least expensive)

2) get a new microphone to use with the I mic

3) pay someone to record this for me (not likely)

I'm recording old messages from my voice mail. The audio quality is essential since this may be used as evidence. At the same time all I need is that human voices are clear, distinct and the audio equivalent of legible.

PS No lectures or questions, please. This is what I've been instructed to do by a social service agency.
