Apple's stock has been plummeting recently... part of overall market downward trend. Anyone selling? \
Markets go down, markets go up. The general attitude in the world right now is very negative: The united states is a mess politcally, Europe has its share of problems, there's avian flu, islamist wankers still causing rucus. . . It's not because of a bubble bursting.
What you should do is continue to monitor the stock and buy more when it bottoms out. I don't think it will go down far enough that selling it and buying it back will compensate for the gains taxes and transaction fees (in most cases).
If you want another good stock to buy in the next few weeks, try Altera. They are bottoming out nicely thanks to some internal issues that have nothing to do with gross or net income. They make solid products and are expanding faster than their major competitor is.

Seeing as I bought my original shares around $38 years ago, I don't think we'll be seeing that again in the near future...

If it hits anywhere near 100 I'm a very rich man.
