can you run vista on a macbook?

long time listener, first time caller! i was just wondering if you install xp via boot camp, can you then upgrade it to the new vista beta? just would like to see it running... finally!



2 GHz White, 1 GB Ram

    Yes you can! You meet the the Vista ready thing. You'll need to download the 32bit version, but it's not as easy or as safe as installing XP.

    how difficult is it to install? has anyone actually got it running? screenshots people... !

    I tried and failed, for anybody wondering! I got Windows XP up, then started to install Vista. All was spiffy until it actually started the installation, when it said something about 'not being able to find a local hard drive to store temporary files'. Nevermind, probably wouldn't have been any good anyways

    I too tried this, except it was on a Core Duo Mini. Instead of first installing xp, I went straight to vista. It went through the install fine, then, after it starting applying "updates", it rebooted from the win partition. I let it boot from the HD, and got an error message stating that winload.exe was missing or corrupted. I reburnt the dvd as mine had a slight defect, no work. Redownloaded cuz I had paused the download in the middle the first time round, no luck. Allways the same error. Hope someone can fix this, I don't want to get the dell out.
