Ibook VS Macbook

If the Ibook was currently $600 LESS than the Macbook would you purchase it? Take note that your use for a notebook are:

- Web browsing

- Emails

- University work (Office, Macjournal etc)

- Basic photo editing

No high-tech apps.

I'd purchase the MacBook, because I might decide I want to do other things with it in the future. Also, it's more 'future-proof' then the iBook.

no. simply because the screen resolution and brightness suck beyond belief. I couldn't imagine peering into that black hole of eyestrain for more than 2 minutes a week.

Yes, I would buy an ibook if I didn't use my Macbook for Video and Audio editing. My friend has a G4 ibook and even to this day, it's still a cool little machine that can do everything he needs (simple tasks).

Thanks everyone! Had the Ibook been that price when I purchased my Macbook last month I would have grabbed that, but in hindsight I think it would be way too much of a hassle to resell my Macbook (loose $ on it) and then buy the Ibook...probably something I would regret
