calling all macbook users

i recently bought a 1.83 macbook and i love the thing. i thought i would still need to use my Dell for some things, but since i recieved my notebook i havnt touched the thing(haha).



i was just wondering how many people have the heat issue, and if so what tempurature are you running at with full screen brightness



simply put yes or no on your reply, if you can be arsed

    I'm fairly sure the brightness of the display shouldn't impact the processor temperature.

    This seems to be a popular question. I think I've answered it somewhere around here, but to reiterate; if I do the yes > /dev/null x2 thing my 1.83GHz MB will top off around 83C. Normal temperatures are much lower.



    My MacBook only has a couple hotspots, both around where the power cord plugs in on the lefthand side by the screen. Wireless reception is awesome. Haven't owned it or used it long enough to determine if discoloration will be an issue for me. So far, 5 out of 5 gold stars from me.

    i asked about the screen brightness because someone else said about reducing the screen brightness to reduce the heat level. so i thought that if everybody had it on the same setting, then u could compare with some accuraccy
