i was just wondering how long it took for peoples dashboard widgets to load, is it takes mine about 30 secs to load up, even though i onli have 7 open.



and is there a way to speed up how quickly they load

    Mine only takes about 5 seconds. I dont know what to tell you.

    oh, i forgot to mention that it onli happens on the first use of dashboard, and is fine all the other times i use it sorry\

    Well, with dashboard you're opening lots of mini applications. After you open dashboard, those applications keep running in the background. It's like if you opened up Safari and then hid it. It's still using up system memory in the background. Don't worry ... this is totally natural.

    yer, i was just complaining that it took so long to load when i first enter dashboard, but thanks for the feedback

    It also slows opening if your widgets need to access info from the web.



    Snow reports,weather and currency for example

    It's down to about 15-20 seconds since 10.4.7 yesterday. (quitDock no longer works or BBC weather widget though)

    I've got a MBP and I find it extremely slow to load. Especially if I have got lots of other processor draining apps open (Creative Suite, Suitcase, Quark etc). I will shortly be upgrading my memory to try and get some quicker results.
