WarCraft III CD . . . "bug"
Get this.
Apparently when the Warcraft III CD went out for mass duplication . . .
They didn't thoroughly check it.
They burned a trashed file onto the CD - so whenever I empty my trash and the CD is in my drive it gives me a warning:
"The Trash cannot be completely emptied because it contains items from locked disks.
Do you want to continue?"
How annoying is THAT?
Funny thing is, it's a '.DS_Store" file, which are Directory Structure files from OS X (right?)
You'd think they might check out their final burn image a little more closely before burning thousands of them . . .

the only other thing i can think of is that i spent the extra cash to get the collector's edition. you have the reg. one or the collectors?
I'm not accusing, just imagining...
I buy my Blizzard games. They're the only company that's consistantly made mac versions of all of their games, even if they were a little late . . .
They'll get my money everytime.
With bated breath I await WoW . . .
I posted a note in the battle.net forums and got one person who had the same thing goin on.
We agreed there was no way in holy hell that blizzard would replace the CDs though, since it's such a minor bug.
and I have the normal edition, with the Undead cover
I wonder if there are different CDs in the boxes?
I know the art is all Orc art on the inside, but maybe there are different CD images if each box has a different SKU . . .
I'd be curious to hear more feedback on this - just to see how common it is . . . and obviously, if you don't own it, then don't respond. You've got an unpure copy.
please post on the battle.net forum too
