Disk Image Password

So, like a good mac user, I updated my 10.4.6 system to 10.4.7 yesterday. Previously I had an encrypted disk image on my system that I used to keep bank information, passwords, etc. Now, when I try to open it, it simply keeps asking for the password over and over. I am SURE that I am typing it correctly as I open this disk image every day.

So far I've tried to verify/repair/convert/whatever through Disk Utility...both from inside the regular system, and from the install disk. No dice.

Bottom line up front, is my data gone?

Thanks!

    According to Apple:

Important:If you forget the password, the data stored in the encrypted disk image will be irretrievably lost. If you have saved the password in the keychain file, it will be available to you there. You should periodically back up your keychain file.

Could it be in the keychain? Open Keychain Access and type in the name of the disk image.

Are you sure both the caps lock and num lock (if on a laptop) are off?
