Apple: Genius Bar reps knew of discoloration issue

I spoke to a few AppleCare product specialits who informed me that the Genius Bar reps at Apple Store were aware of the discoloraion issue on select MacBooks. They were informed to replace / repair under warranty no questions asked.



Why was Apple being so hush hush about this? Squashing support thread, employees telling me that the discoloration was my own doing?



Genius Bar reps knew two weeks ago.
