iWeb working with hosts

Do you have to get a .mac account to publish your website or can you copy the html into a web host? You can do that with Microsoft Word web page.

    You can put your website on any hosting solution you desire. Just click publish to folder and upload that folder to your chosen web host.

    yeah that helps a lot. I didn't know if I should get iLife for iWeb since I have Microsoft Word wich is not very good.
