I'm trying to set up two Pioneer DVR-110 in an external case with Firewire 800.

If I set the drives to cable select, one of the drives sees blank DVDs as a blank CD-R.

When I set one to master and the other to slave, DVDs placed in both show up correctly as DVDs, but when I try to burn them both I get a message about the second burn folder I selected stating that I need to insert a blank disk.

I have been able to burn 3 DVDs at once using the internal burner in the G5, a single external burner in a Firewire 400 case and one of the two burners in the dual enclosure so it seems that the OS is just not seeing the two drives in the dual case as separate drives when it comes time to actually burn the disks.

Original Dual 2.0 GHz running OS X 10.4.7

FireWire supports daisy chained devices and there should be no problem attaching more than one DVD burner to the system. How are the two burners connected together?
