Macbook + Aperture
The system specs for Aperture do not list the new MacBook (not pro) as being able to run the application... However some graphics on the Apple site display the black MacBook running Aperture.

Is it possible to run Aperture on the MacBook?

However, it is indeed possible to use Aperture, but nowhere near as fast as on the MacBook pro, due to the lack of dedicated graphics.

Doesn't it whine about the screen size being too small too?
When you open Aperture, it complains that the screen size is unsupported, giving you the option to either quit or continue. I always continue and it works great for my needs. I haven't used it on a MBP but with 2GB RAM it is very responsive (more so than on PPC powerbooks, i hear).

Yeah it does but you can stop it from doing so.....
Ctrl-Click on the Aperture App > Click Show Package Contents
Then open the Contents folder, drag info.plist out and open it with Text Edit, scroll down to the bottom and look for:
<key>RKMinimumDisplayPixelHeight</key>
\t<integer>854</integer>
\t<key>RKMinimumDisplayPixelWidth</key>
\t<integer>1280</integer>
Simply change "854" to "800" save it and add it back to the package.
Thats its no more annoying nagging about the screen size. Hope this helps.
Plus I run Aperture on my MacBook and it's fine with 1GB RAM, much faster than my mates PowerBook G4 with 1.5GB RAM.
