Ok im thinking about switching to Mac, but i have one major question. This Question is for anyone using any CAD programs on there Macs. Are there any good, reliable CAD programs available for Macs. If so which one are you using, and what Mac are you using it on.

Thanks in advance.

Ashlar-Vellum has an excellent CAD program named Graphite. I've used other Ashlar-Vellum CAD programs, and they've been great.

Thanks SpamSandwich (sorry I chuckled alittle).

I was also thinking, what if you could run something like AutoCAD (or whatever) on Windows through BootCamp. Would this be recommended or is using BootCamp risky at all for saving important files.

I guess what im trying to say is are there any downsides to using BootCamp for an application such as AutoCAD (or similar)?

    Thanks Agian. Matt.

Boot Camp is not any more risky than running Windows is on a PC as long as you don't do anything unusual to screw the partitions up. It should run CAD programs just fine.

I believe TurboCad has a Mac version but I haven't tried it. I have tried Cadintosh and PowerCadd. PowerCadd was more than I needed.
