7200rpm drive in macbook

    Yes, you can, just make sure it's Serial ATA.

    Yes, quite. There may, however, be a slight decrease in battery life and increase in heat and noise.

    MacBook hard drive replacement is easy. When I had a 15" macbookpro, I installed a hitachi 7200rpm in it. It wasn't as simple at the MB, but with the help of a video I found online it was pretty easy. You need a screw driver that only a techie would have if you want to do it to a MBP, you can pick up a set with that right bit it in a compusa or radioshack.

    i have longer battery life and its quieter, other than the macbook moo (fans) with my 7200 rpm drive.
