which one to buy?

Hey guys, I was looking for some advice on which notebook I should buy this August when I leave for my first year of college. I was thinking about a MBP but then the idea of a MB came up. I like the bigger screen of the MBP, not to mention the fact that it isn't glossy, and I like the fact that it has dedicated graphics. However, I thought that the bigger screen might be a hinderance in class and the battery life of the MBP isn't as good. Can you guys shed some light on these issues and help me decide which one to purchase?

    Though this thread was a couple of months back, it will give you a good run-down.



    I would still say the MB. Smaller, just about as powerful, the screen is fantastic (I have played with them and love the gloss; I have a PB and long for the gloss), more portable and a lot cheaper. Save your cash and apply it towards an iMac that will take care of your dorm needs or apply it towards some really nice apps. People overplay the dedicated graphics baloney; portable are not gaming machines and you will never need the graphics.



    Make sure you have a back-up external hard disk for all your data just in case.





    Oh, and enjoy your free iPod!
