Go to the original ShredderChess email. Download the program from there.
Move the program to the Applications file.
(Toss out the copy which previously existed on your computer).
Enter the language, and serial number.
The product should work.
What happened with me I was trying to get Shredder Chess to function which I transferred from an old computer to a new computer. Then the messages appeared.
Reinstalling the program from the original email worked.
No problems since.
Note: ShredderChess will download pgn files. But there is a limit of 1000 games per file for the Mac version.
There appears to be only 2 database programs that will work with Mountain Lion.
One is Shredder, the other HIARCS with Junior. (Formerly SigmaChess which will not work with Lion or higher.

You're probably running the app from a disk image. Copy the app to your hard drive and then run it.

how do i make it not a disk image? I put it in my hard drive, and it still reads as a disk image
