DVD ISO won't burn?

I searched Mac Help and AI and couldn't find an answer to this question. I am trying to burn a DVD ISO, when I insert the DVD-R and select burn through Disc Utility, I get the following message:

Quote:

The device drained its buffer without burn underrun protection.

I've tried a few different blank DVD-Rs, any suggestions?

I usually burn with Toast, so I'm not as familiar with Disk Utilities options, but I would suggest to try burning at a slower speed.

Googling the error message reveals it is a fairly common message.

    - use a CD-R that is made for a slower speed (e.g. 32x instead of 48x)

    - use a lower burn speed

    - clean the lens

    - quit all other apps before burning

Are you burning from the Finder?

From Disk Utility, Toast and DragonBurn, none of which worked. I'll have to give the slower media a try. (It's a DVD .iso) I have been using 8x DVD-R's with my 4x superdrive with no problems previously, I'll pick up some 4x DVD-R's and give it another try. I know the file is OK because it plays OK in DVD Player when placed on the HDD.

    Thanks for the assistance, everyone.
