Quicktime 6 MPEG-4 to iTunes 3.0

Can someone explain the process step-by-step for getting Quicktime 6 MPEG-4 into iTunes 3.0.



Am I right that the first few steps are:



1. Drop an audio track onto Quicktime Pro.

2. Export the audio track using "Movie to MPEG-4" to anywhere you want.

3. Drag the resulting file into iTunes 3.0



After that I am not sure what to do.

    That's it. To get iTunes to play mp4s you just add them to your playlist. It has no problems reading them it just can't encode mp4s for you yet.

    What about ID3 information? Do you have to manually put in the info, or is there a way to get that info put in for you, such as through CDDB?

    That's why Apple hasn't adopted MPEG4 audio for use in the iPod and doesn't publicly state that it can be used in iTunes: it has no ID3 tags.

    But .mp4 and .mov both accept headers/properties which can function a lot like ID3 tags. All Apple needs to do is add that support for iTunes and iPod...
