Hi, I'm new.

I have a question regarding the WWDC next week. I was planning on buying a MacBook Pro today, but I was just wondering should I wait til after the conference or should the MacBook Pro be safe?

If you don't have a compelling reason for buying immediately then it can't hurt to wait one week. In fact given that the Core 2 Duo is already released and the WWDC lineup seems pretty heavy already, maybe we'll see some Macbook/iMac action tomorrow? here's hoping...

Im also keen to update my trusty old PB 1.25G, I just added a Dull 24" - and it certainly feels like a NEW machine - in fact, im sure the external DVI video is faster than the 15" TFT. But i digress, now i want to get a nice super fast MBPro for this nice display!

Indeed, welcome to the fold. The MacBook Pro vs MacBook issue always comes up, but if the cash is there, it is almost always good to go for the more feature rich with the most memory you can afford. I, too, am prepared to wait a week to see what's coming, though I'm hoping for a desktop upgrade I can get my uni to order for me while I take care of the laptop on my own. My G4 Al is doing fine in the interim.
