Some macbook questions

I was wondering if any of the forum users could comment on these questions:

Does anyone have experience running FCP universal on a macbook? how is it? And if you know, how would its performance compare to, say, a g5 dual 2.0 (revA)?

Are apps severely slowed under Rosetta? I've heard nightmare PS stories...

Slightly related to the buying decision: Does anyone know when Leopard is due out? What about the new Mac Pro?

Lastly, and completely off topic, does anyone know where one could get "apple design" quality cd wallets?

Thanks in advance everyone.

FCP: Don't know first hand, but from reports I've read, as the program is CPU bound (rather than GPU), it should be blazingly fast (faster than the dual 2.0 G5).

Rosetta: Best avoided for professional use.

Leopard: Expected late 2006/early 2007, we'll find out for sure in less than a week. (Word Wide Developers' Conference keynote is on 7th August)

Mac Pro: Expected to be released/announced during WWDC keynote (see above).

    CD wallets: No idea.

At school, I used Dual 2.3 G5 Powermacs for FCP for six solid months before the Macbooks came out. I was ready to shell out $2000+ because the performance was so great. After reading the MB's specs, I picked one up.

Let me tell you: It's just as fast!

Don't let people tell you that you HAVE to get a Macbook PRO to use FCP, use those extra $700 for ram and a huge Firewire hard drive (or maybe put it towards a nice camcorder).
