Innovative 3d photo tool from Microsoft Live Labs
I just came across This new project that is being developed by microsoft. It actually look really promising. It is a tool that takes a bunch of images and constructs a 3d model from them.
I know you can do quicktime panorama's but they are limited to a single viewing point around which pictures are stitched together, whereas this will create an actual 3d model solely from pictures. Im very curious to see whether apple is working on something similar for future iPhoto versions.
If succesfull, this will also really put up the heat for google's sketchup /google earth combination.

Oh no doubt the idea has been around for ages, but it looks like they're starting to make it actually work, can't wait to play with it!
