watchdog or launchd?
I have a non-Apple process (a 3rd party ftp daemon) that I want to monitor and restart in the event that it crashes on my Xserve (running OS X Server10.4.7).
What is the best way to configure my server to watch the ftp daemon and restart it as needed? Do I want to edit the /etc/watchdog file (like the pre-Tiger days) or do I want to edit a launchd config file?
